Shipping & Returns


SHIPPING INFORMATION
All orders made at www.kiwishelters.co.nz are currently freight free to NZ locations (North Island / South Island. Excludes Chatham Islands - please contact us for freight rates before ordering). Kiwi Shelters is operated as a sub brand of Kiwi Camping Co. Ltd who process all orders made at www.kiwishelters.co.nz.

Most of our orders are sent via a courier or freight service so they will need to be signed for upon delivery. Please make sure there is someone at the specified address to sign for the package, otherwise a card to call will be left if there is no one to sign for the delivery. If you have a secure place the courier driver can leave your purchase, please advise under 'special instructions' when ordering. We will not be held responsible for goods once delivered if you have requested we leave them without being signed for. Sorry, we can not deliver to Post Office Boxes or Private Box numbers. Dispatch and delivery days are Monday to Friday (inclusive).

Please note:

  1. If you order late on a Friday or during the weekend we will process your order on the following Monday.
  2. Our system updates stock availability periodically, so occasionally with high website traffic and sales, it is possible that a product may become unavailable between updates. We apologise in advance if this happens and will notify you by email as soon possible.
  3. We support prompt delivery of most of our products anywhere in New Zealand; however some isolated regions may require additional delivery time. If this is the case for your area we will notify you of this prior to processing your order. We currently do not accept international orders via the website, however if you are interested in any of our products, please contact us and we will see how we can help.
  4. The anticipated delivery time will be within 1-4 working days unless an item ordered is out of stock, which in this case you will be notified as soon as possible. PLEASE NOTE: Rural, long haul and some residential areas may require an additional day(s) delivery time.

RETURNS / REFUNDS POLICY FOR ONLINE PURCHASES
If you are not 100% happy with a purchase made at www.kiwishelters.co.nz, please contact the Kiwi Camping Co. Ltd web team at orders@kiwicamping.co.nz. Kiwi Shelters is a sub brand of Kiwi Camping Co. Ltd so all returns and refunds will be handled by Kiwi Camping.

Items returned must be in original condition, in the original sealed packaging, and with the packing slip or order identification number for that order. Request of a return needs to be made within 7 days of receipt by you. You will need to pay for return delivery costs. Once we have received the goods and ascertained that they and their packaging are still in a condition that they can be resold for full original retail price, you will receive a credit to the value of your puchase or a refund less any courier and packaging charges. Once the credit / refund has been confirmed, you can expect a credit in the way of a dollar value voucher code to use online, or a refund in the same form of payment originally used for purchase within 7 business days of our receiving your returned item(s). Any courier costs you incur to return product to us will not be refunded unless we have made an error. Courier costs are generally non refundable for undelivered, unclaimed or returned packages unless we have made an error.

We regret we cannot offer a refund or exchange for any products listed on the site www.kiwishelters.co.nz once the product has been used or tampered with, or if the packaging has been damaged to the extent that the item is no longer saleable for its original full price.

If there is any defect in the product on receipt, once opened, then it may be returned to us for exchange or a refund at that time. Please e-mail orders@kiwicamping.co.nz or call the Kiwi Camping web team on 0800 TO CAMP and advise us of the problem. We will inform you of what needs to be done to arrange the credit / refund. You must make notification to us within 7 days of receipt.

WARRANTY
Kiwi Shelters is operated as a sub brand of Kiwi Camping Co. Ltd. All Kiwi Shelters products fall under the Kiwi Camping warranty policy. Kiwi Camping Co. Ltd warranty policy covers our products for 12 months from the purchase date. Warranty claims cover any fault, defect or failure occurring as a result of the manufacturing process. Damage or faults occurring as a result of storm or wind damage, misuse, accident, UV damage or wear and tear is not covered by our warranty policy.

Kiwi Camping Co. Ltd warranty policy has the following solutions to any claim made:

  1. Wherever possible we will endeavour to repair any fault to a factory issue standard and return it to you at no charge.
  2. Where repair is not possible or practical we will replace the product with the same or similar product.
  3. If a repair or replacement is not possible due to the product being unavailable we will exchange it for any comparable Kiwi Camping Co. Ltd products to the same value as your original purchase price on agreeance with the customer.
  4. Where none of the above solutions are possible or practical then you have the option of receiving a full refund or online store credit.

What you need to do with a warranty claim:

  1. Notify the Kiwi Camping web team of your concerns before sending back at orders@kiwicamping.co.nz or 0800 TO CAMP.
  2. Products will need to be returned to the Kiwi Camping head office in Hamilton with the packing slip or order identification number for that order. If you do not have your packing slip, please include a note stating purchaser's name, address and approximate date of purchase.
  3. Use a good carton and return the package via an insured Courier Post Mail service or other Parcel Carrier of your choice.
  4. Keep a record of your shipment details until you have received a credit, refund, or replacement.
  5. Once we have received the product we will assess the warranty claim and contact you to arrange the best solution for you (see above).
